Hello Classroom 8 Families,

My name is Kimberly Cole and I will be interning in your child’s classroom this fall

semester. I am currently in my senior year at the University of Michigan-Dearborn,

working towards my degree in Early Childhood with an accompanying teaching

certificate in Elementary Education. During this semester I will be in the classroom with your child on Mondays and Wednesdays.

I have lived in Dearborn Heights, Michigan my entire life. Along with my schooling,

I also work at the Dearborn KinderCare across the street from the U of M-Dearborn

campus.There I usually work as the teacher assistant in the young infant classroom

but I am occasionally given the opportunity to work in one of our other classrooms

as a lead teacher. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my friends, listening to music, exploring new places, staying active, and traveling to Dayton, Ohio to visit a family I nannied for that recently moved.

During this semester I will develop a relationship with your child throughout

my observations, interactions, and teaching within the classroom. I am very excited

to be apart of this learning opportunity as I will be working closely with Ms. Schimm and Ms. Cherry to develop lessons that will stem from your child’s interests and expand upon their curiosities thatcontinue to develop throughout the semester.
